Vamsee Krishna Kiran Muppavarapu is a seasoned Data Engineering Manager with a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has a strong background in Semantic technologies like RDF, OWL, and SPARQL, and is a researcher in Semantic Web of Things (SWoT) with a focus on developing cross-domain applications. Currently, Vamsee is working on Data FAIRification process and Linked Data, and has built several POC's on creating Knowledge Graphs for structured and unstructured pharmaceutical data such as Clinical studies, HCP, and Drugs. As a Data Science and Machine Learning enthusiast, Vamsee is skilled in Data Collection, Data Pre-processing, Data reporting, and Visualization. He also has a fair understanding and experience in Amazon AWS and Django UI dev. Vamsee has previously worked at ICRISAT as a Scientific Officer - System Integration and Development, where he developed multiple projects such as the SBDM website, Open Access Dashboard, Weather Dashboard, and DOI portal for breeding material. He also worked with various stakeholders and scientists within CGIAR in supporting their operations and converting their requirements into solutions/tools they can use. Before joining ICRISAT, Vamsee was an Assistant Professor at Amrita University, where he was responsible for teaching, research, project guidance, ACM ICPC Coordination, project collaborations with industry, and funding organizations. His areas of interest include Semantic Web, Cloud IaaS, and Recommendation Systems. Vamsee has a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from Amrita University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computers from ACE Engineering College. His tech stack includes Data Engineering, Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, AWS, Web, Django, ML, Data Scientist, UI, Integration, and Recommendation system. With almost 10 years of relevant experience, Vamsee is a highly skilled and knowledgeable data professional.
